Namsangol Hanok Village, South Korea

You typed "Where is the best place to go while in Korea?" and Mr. Google brought you inside a Korean Travel Tourist Site and Namsangol Hanok Village is featured in it. No? Heh. That's what happened to me.

My mother-in-law (Nanay) is here in South Korea and craving for a "Korean Gala", so we decided to go. Since we are looking for a tourist destination in Korea which is affordable and near from our house in Anyang City, Namsangol Hanok Village hit the spot. I mean head on and dead center. Aside from being in near Anyang City, entrance is also free. How awesome was that?

Feature Image of this Post:

The village composes of rebuilt Korean traditional houses of Joseon Dynasty in which after reading this site, I found out that these houses belongs to various social classes from peasants to kings. (Mr. Google never fails to give these kind of things)

Modern Age versus the Old Age: The traditional houses are in between the modern buildings and busy atmosphere of South Korean landscape.

Haayy! The joy of simple non-modern life. I will post my status in Facebook after I twit it.

Old kitchen.

Traditional kitchen and cooking stuffs.

The village also offers wearing of traditional dress (this one has a price), we did not try it, hell no, because it's expensive haha. Actually no, we did not try it because we know a place where you can try this dress for free and less waiting time. You will find it in this post.

The village also offer places to just sit and relax, read books, do your kage bunshin technique, and do your flying routine.

Traditional peeps. Just kidding.

Pervert!

Kage Bunshin Technique

We are flying north! No chicks here!

On a serious note, (doc did you say serious? is that you?) visiting this village let's you see and imagine how Korean people lived during the dynasty. Korean culture is written in every wall, roof, and landscape. In the midst of industrialized and modern status, Korean people are still extraordinary in preserving their culture. They love their past, value, and proud of it.

I really hope me and my fellow people learn from them.
