Acro Tower, The Twin Towers of Anyang, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea

The CCTV on the rooftop of a tall building where I stood stared at me with high level suspicions. I drank my hot coffee while I looked back to it. I was at various places on the rooftop, looking, searching for a nice frame. I patiently waited. I stepped on newly planted vegetations on a rooftop garden. Somehow it alarmed me and pitied the gardener. I whispered sorry to the wind, and hoped the word reached the recipient.

The Twin Towers of Anyang, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

The hour came. I took the shot and went home. The gardener was furious. CCTV reviewed.

Untitled No. 04

The train swooped beneath the earth inside a man-made hole. She was watching in her phone, a Korean gag show while the other passengers sleep, chat and busy with their own mobile devices. She smiles time to time, punchlines were made. Announcement of the next station filled the surrounding space. She glanced at the monitor overhead.

Not yet.

But the train is ready to come out from its burrow. The next station will be after the Han River Bridge. The train will finally taste the sunlight before going back to the tunnel again. She was blinded by this light at first, but her eyes immediately adjusted to the luminescence it brought.

She now sees the landscape outside. Buildings of different sizes and shapes were absorbed by her retina, but her brain processed a different thing.

She misses him.

Flashbacks began to play. Happy times together came back in the form of vivid and high contrast images. Beautiful memories crawled from her brain enveloping her whole body. The world stopped and tears began to accumulate in the corner of her eyes, but refused to fall.

She resumed watching the gag show as reality kicks in.

"I have to move" she muttered as the train begins to traverse the darkness of the tunnel again.

Korean Crisis

South Korean Bomb Shelters aka Subways

The photo shows one of the subway stations, which also serves as a shelter for any North Korean attack here in South Korea.

Since the tension started here in Korean Peninsula, I always observe the local's expressions to give me signs or warnings that I, a foreigner should leave this place as soon as possible. But it seems that the locals are used to this kind of situation. I cannot find any fears, worries or anxieties on their faces. Maybe this tension is a part of every South Korean citizen since they are still at war with the North. Everything seems normal and ordinary.

But signs like in the the photo above (the 3 triangles and a tunnel in a red background) started to appear. It is a shelter in case the North decided to end His regime.

Amidst the tension, never let your camera down. Observe, take aim, compose, because in the greatest drama, all of us are actors, and the street is the stage.

Seoul Motor Show 2013 Part 2 of 3

KINTEX is at Daewha Station Orange Line of Seoul Subway, Exit 2.

Lessons learned in photography, make a note of everything you shoot. I don't know the model of this car.
At 12 noon, the venue was already loaded with photographers and enthusiasts.

Still the models does not seems to tire. Smiles to the camera was relentless.

I chose 50 mm, or lets say I dont have any choice because my 18-200 mm seems not functioning properly. My other lens is for Macro.
You have to get a better position for the place was crowded.

When photographing models, the most important factors are the eyes. You must call them with respect by saying Hi or hello, and if you know her name the better.

The shoot was fun and I learned a thing or two.

Seoul Motor Show 2013 Part 1 of 3

I was in KINTEX (Korea International Exchange) to take photos of hot models  cars.
Seoul Motors Show which was held in March 28 - April 07, 2013 was fun and learning experience.

The ticket worth 10,000 Korean Won

I was admiring the legs.. I mean the car.

Scratched surface...(see the right leg?)

Hotwheels gave free toy cars, and Koreans loves freebies.

I see..... agree....

Someday I will have that kind of girl... I mean that car.

No need for expensive cameras... a mobile phone is all I need to record this beauty.
